Global Neighborhood
Since 2008, Global Neighborhood has served as a community anchor and innovative job readiness program for refugees as they build new lives in the Inland Northwest. Global Neighborhood Thrift & Vintage, a 45,000-square-foot store and social enterprise that opened in 2011, is the organization’s engine and living laboratory, providing sustainable revenue, employment, and onsite job training to the refugee community.
Global Neighborhood now looks to welcome a new Executive Director (ED) who will lead this innovative nonprofit and social business enterprise.

This important role will oversee the enterprise’s finance and grants administration departments, providing leadership and continued capacity building to strengthen PNW’s growing role as an intermediary grantmaker.

SCAR welcomes new Operations Director
Spokane Community Against Racism (SCAR) is pleased to welcome Invonne (Evee) Polanski as its new Operations Director. Evee was selected after an extensive search and will support internal capacity building to support SCAR’s mission. SCAR was founded in 2017 as a community-accountable, Black-led organization seeking to identify and address systemic racism. Through education, advocacy, research, and community engagement, SCAR challenges the systems that perpetuate harms disproportionately impacting communities of color in the Spokane community.
